Meet Channing Wessell
Channing Wessell didn’t just stumble into the vending industry, he’s been an entrepreneur for as long as he can remember. As a kid, he started his first “business” by digging up cactuses around his parents’ property because he got tired of stepping on them barefoot. He planted them in cups and sold them to visitors. Looking back, that probably should’ve been the first sign that business ownership was always going to be part of his story.
Today, after more than a decade in the vending industry, Channing has earned the nickname “The Vending Machine Guru” by learning every side of the business from the ground up. He’s done it all, from running vending routes and brokering locations to repairing, refurbishing, and improving machines himself. He’s also a Certified Level 2 Crane Repair Technician and has even designed custom replacement boards for older machines so they could continue running modern card readers instead of becoming obsolete. For Channing, figuring things out and finding solutions has always been part of the job.
Before entering the vending industry, Channing built and sold multiple successful businesses, but one thing has always stayed the same: customer service comes first. Operating out of Wilmington and Holly Ridge, NC, he personally works with customers to help them find the right machines for their locations, goals, and budget. No middlemen, no shortcuts, and no passing customers off to someone else.
Above everything else, Channing puts God, family, and doing right by people first. That mindset has helped Azalea Coast Vending build long-term relationships, repeat customers, and a reputation people trust.
